Vintage toy repair services at low rates |
| I
have enjoyed repairing windup and battery
operated toys since 1996. One of the primary motivating factors
was the fear that one of my expensive treasures would suddenly
stop working and consequently lose 50% (or more) of its value.
After successfully repairing and restoring a number of battery
operated and windup toys it became apparent that I had an aptitude
for this kind of work. I felt a great satisfaction in taking an
old beat up toy and breathing new life into it. |

I began with simple repairs, replacing broken springs, soldering loose wires, etc. Every project became more and more intensive, repairing bubble blowing toys (rubber tubing and bladder devices), replacing electric motors, fixing or repairing smoking mechanisms, replacing gears and broken tabs, restoring missing parts, cleaning plush and clothes. The repairs were undetectable and the toy functioned precisely the way it was intended too. Along the way I've accumulated a wealth of information and skill, in addition to spare parts such as windup springs, gears of all sizes, smoking mechanisms, bladder devices, etc. I have been offering my services for a little over 3 years now to toy enthusiasts in the U.S.A. and Canada. It has given me great pleasure in the past and will for many years to come. |
